I Turned Scrap Logs Into a Stunning Resin Urn

In this woodturning video, I turned reclaimed Black Locust logs into a one-of-a-kind handmade epoxy resin burial urn. Starting with rough logs, I cut the wood into smaller pieces on the bandsaw, kiln-dried them in my oven, and then cast them in crystal-clear epoxy resin tinted with vibrant purple and green mica powders.
The urn features a stunning multi-colour resin design, a durable bronze threaded insert for secure access, and multiple coats of high-gloss clear lacquer for a premium mirror-like finish. This unique memorial urn combines natural wood grain with colourful resin art to create a truly special handcrafted piece.
