Hello, friends! This was a fun one!

This was made from a round of cherry with an inlay made from two thin strips of black walnut and a larger piece of ash. As you can see in the video, to cut the cherry, I just used the miter saw. I wasn’t exactly sure whether I could do that safely or not, given it’s round shape against the fence and my inability to properly clamp it in place. To try and work around this, I just hot glued it down to a board of MDF and clamped the board down to the miter saw. To my pleasant surprise, it seemed to work great!

For the walnut pieces, these were just planed down from a larger board, sandwiched onto the ash piece, and added in as a single inlay. The whole bowl was sanded up to 600 grit and finished with tung oil.

What do you think? I’d love to hear in the comments down below!
